Tanjung Tinggi is a beach flanked by two peninsulas. This white sandy beaches is very unique because there are hundreds of large granite stones scattered in the peninsula and also in the sea in front of the beach. The size of granite range from a few cubic meters to hundreds of cubic meters bigger than a building of houses. You can ride, run and jump between the granite to enjoy an exclusive view from every angle you stand. The forms of the large stones are also unique, some form caves, which can be used for shelter during rain. The stones are all lumped together to form objects of interest as clearly you can see from the photos.

The stones are located above the white sand. As you can see in the pictures, you can walk on the white sand between the stones and crystal clear sea water. White sand is everywhere along the coast. Children will love to play there since the waves are calm, clear sea water with a sandy sea bottom surface, the kids would really like to play on the beach. You do not have to worry about shark attacks, because it never happened in the Pacific Islands. The only thing that sometimes have to watch out for is the jellyfish, particularly the large ones.

Tanjung Tinggi is also called the Bilik Port. Formerly this place is a fishing port for the nearby village Keciput or Tanjung Tinggi. There are at least twenty simple seafood restaurants along the beach. This is the place for you to take a break, drinking coffee or order lunch. The main menu is -of course- seafood. Just don’t expect you get the same class of service in the mall restaurants. They are just ordinary people from the village who opened a simple restaurant. But don’t worry, the people there are always friendly to all guests, just like most of Indonesia.

The specialty of this beach, is the varied size of the granites, from only a few cubic meters to hundreds of cubic meters. You can try to go up these rocks, moving from one rock to another, to get a different view from every corner where you stand. The shape of these stones was no less unique. And on top of the rocks visitors can sit relaxed, waiting for the beautiful sunset.

As the sunset begins, you’ll witness the incredible charm of Tanjung Tinggi. Besides being able to enjoy the sights, visitors can also perform a variety of water games on this beach.
