Parangtritis, Simply Awesome
Parangtritis is a beautiful beach that was so beautiful where the hills of sand and rock meet. This is a beach where you can enjoy the beauty with your family or spouse, because of the romantic and cool atmosphere. There are lots of entertainment you can enjoy, like swimming alongside the beach, though you’re not allowed to swim too far from the edge of the beach, for you may be swept up by the wave and land on many sharp corals and rocks under the sea. And don’t worry, there are many public baths provided for visitors. There are also carriages to take you around the beach.
By evening you can enjoy the atmosphere of the sunset. And when the night falls, the bamboo shops around the beach start selling food. You can enjoy the warmth of ginger or eat a delicious roasted corn in the still of night, for those of you who want to sleep over, there are a lot of lodging in the form of hostels or hotels, the price is varied. From USD 3 – up to USD 10 per night.
To reach the location of Parangtritis you can travel by motorcycle, because with motorcycle you can skip straight to the beach. But if you want to travel with bus, you can take the bus from Umbulharjo terminal.
There are two alternative routes that can be taken to reach Parangtritis:
- Yogyakarta – Imogiri – siluk – Parangtritis, the distance is about 30 km. And is associated with the tourist route, which passed the royal family cemetery. The interesting part from this route is that we were treated to beautiful views as right and left of the road there are limestone hills that have a variety of unique.
- Yogyakarta – Kretek – Parangtritis, all kinds of vehicles can pass through this route. Because this route is easily directed to the beach
